Increasing the Visibility of Women Working in Technology

The number one step for women to succeed in tech is to be your authentic self. I started thinking about how I’m presenting myself should be truly me. I was different than others in the room and that created space where others could come in and be themselves while feeling comfortable and accepted. One of the recent discussions I’ve had in leadership is how can we showcase women at the company during the interview process, so that female candidates know this is a safe space for them. This can be done through establishing a women’s chat group or featuring women in a company webinar or event, making it visible that this is a field women can, and should, join.
